PROFILE: HEINEKEN Asia Pacific’s presence in the high-growth Indochina region is complete through Lao Asia Pacific Breweries Limited (LAPB), which opened its first brewery in Laos on 12 March 2008. LAPB is a joint venture company of HEINEKEN Asia Pacific (68%), the Government of Laos (local partner, 25%) and SBK Consultant Ltd (local partner, 7%). It is the second brewer to be granted a beer investment license by the Government of Laos.
The state-of-the-art brewery occupies a 13-hectare site in Xaythany District within Vientiane and with its stringent quality control system, has been awarded with ISO 9001 Quality Management System and ISO 22000 HACCP Food Safety Management System certification. It currently brews Heineken®, the leading brand in the International Premium Segment (IPS), Tiger, our premium Asian beer, and the local brew, Namkhong. LAPB also imports and distributes ABC Extra Stout in Laos.
LAPB’s balanced portfolio of brands coupled with their recently expanded packaging facility enables them to meet the different segments and growing demand of the Lao beer market.
